Terms and Conditions

Waves Chalet Rental is acting as letting agents on behalf of the property owners. The property owner is the “Leaseholder” and “The customer” shall mean the person who agrees to the conditions of booking. “The Owner letting to the Customer”. No agreement or partnership is created between the Agent and the Customer. The Agents sole purpose is to act as a link between the Leaseholder and the Customer.

 

AGE

Bookings will not be accepted from persons under the age of 21. Occupation of any property will not be allowed if members of a group all appear to be under 21. An acceptable proof of age i.e. UK driving license or passport may be requested to prove age if any doubt occurs.

 

DEPOSIT

A £50 non-returnable deposit along with agreement to the conditions of booking is required to hold your booking. The balance must be paid and cleared 30 days before commencement of your holiday. Payment should be made by Bank transfer or Card payment. We reserve the right to re-let your accommodation if the balance is not received by the due date. No guest will be allowed access to their chalet unless full payment has been received.

 

OCCUPANCY

The number of persons occupying a property must not exceed four persons in a one bedroom and six persons in a two-bedroom chalet.

 

CANCELLATION

Cancellations must be notified to us by email or phone. After payment of the balance no refund will be made unless we are able to re­-let the property. In these circumstances a £25 admin fee will be deducted from any refund of balance. The £50 deposit is non-returnable.

It is the responsibility of the person agreeing to the conditions of booking to ensure adequate travel insurance is arranged for their party to cover cancellation for any reason.

If for any reason beyond our control we must cancel or alter arrangements made by the Leaseholder we will make every effort to offer an alternative property if one is available. If the Customer does not accept the alternative offer we will return any monies paid, where upon all liability will cease.

 

CHECK IN/OUT

CHECK IN TIME is from 3pm on day of arrival. For arrivals after 5pm please make arrangements with Waves Chalet Rental for the collection of keys.

CHECK OUT TIME is 10am on the day of departure. Please ensure that you vacate by this time at the latest. Keys must be returned to the Waves Chalet Rental office on the day of departure.

 

KEYS

Keys can be left in the post box outside of the office when it is unmanned.

 

PETS

Pets are only allowed with the Leaseholders permission and must be shown on the booking form. They are accepted subject to the pet owner accepting liability for any damage they may do to the property. Pet owners are expected to bring suitable bedding for their animals. Any Customer who takes a pet into a property without permission is in breach of Contract and Waves Chalet Rental have the right to terminate the booking forthwith and to retain all monies paid by the customer. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms.

 

NO SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed in any of the properties. If you smoke outside the property please ensure cigarette butts are disposed of in a safe manner and not thrown on the ground outside the property.

 

BEDDING

Customers must supply their own bedding, toiletries, towels and food. Duvets (without covers) and pillows (without slips) are provided. Bedding can be hired at an extra cost and must be paid for at time of booking. Waves Chalet Rental or the Leaseholder will not be responsible for any items of individual property left in any of the properties. If at the end of the rental period any individual property of the customer remains in the property we will notify you. A charge to cover postage and packing will be made and must be received by Waves Chalet Rental before any item can be returned. Any food or perishables left in the property will be disposed of immediately.

 

COMPLAINTS

If in the opinion of the Customer there are grounds for complaint, it is the Customers responsibility to notify Waves Chalet Rental immediately or as soon as reasonably possible and in any event before departure to allow remedial action to be taken. It is specifically agreed that failure by the Customer to notify Waves Chalet Rental of any complaint in accordance with the timescale set out will prejudice their claim irrespective of it.

 

DISTURBANCE

The property owner cannot be held to account for any disturbance caused by holiday fairs, fetes, events or festivals occurring during the letting season or for building works taking place in the vicinity or neighboring properties. Waves Chalet Rental or the Leaseholder is unable to offer any compensation for facilities not in use at Medmerry Park for any period during the Customers holiday.

 

AMENITIES

Any amenity provided by the Leaseholder must be used safely. If the Customer is unsure of the safe and proper use of any amenity advice should be obtained from Waves Chalet Rental, in the meantime the amenity should not be used. Waves Chalet Rental or the Leaseholder will not accept any liability from the misuse of any amenity.

 

WATER/ELECTRICITY

The Owner and Waves Chalet Rental cannot be held responsible for the failure of water and electricity utility companies. Any failure must be reported immediately to the site office.

 

LOSS OR DAMAGE

No liability shall be attached to Waves Chalet Rental in respect of any loss, damage or injury sustained by any persons whilst occupying the properties as all properties are within the sole control of the leaseholder.

 

OTHER

The management of both Waves Chalet Rental and Medmerry Park Ltd reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice if the Customer or a member of his/her party causes nuisance or danger to other guests on the site by their actions and does not refrain from doing so when asked.
